Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry of FICCI auditorium, founded in the year 1927 with the suggestion and direction of Mahatma Gandhi, is one of the biggest and old association of commercial society in the country. Dr Jyotsna Suri is President, is the president and Harshavardhan Neotia is the present senior Vice president of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Its past is closely linked with our country's struggle period of independence, its beginning, and its growth as one of the most speedily developing global economies. It is non-governmental association work on no-profit no-loss basis. FICCI serves its membership from the commercial sector. Presently, it offer indirect membership to more than twenty-five lack companies all over India.
It also offers a stage for networking and consensus building within numerous sectors and is the former port of call for country’s industry, policy designers and the global commercial communities. Extended in large area, it has offices in twelve states and eight countries around the world, and headquarter is located in New Delhi.
Federation House encompasses the head office of the Police Federation of England and Wales with a training Centre and superior hotel lodging, complete with reputed restaurant, bar and health club.
FICCI organize numerous exhibitions and events throughout the year for promoting corporate sectors and it has commercial connections with about three-hundred industries and associations all around the world.
