Overview
The dates for the 13th conference of Auto Expo - The Motor trade fair will start from February 5th - 9th, 2016 at the India Expo Mart and Centre, Greater Noida.
Auto Expo India, the two-yearly national event of the Indian automobile industry is conjointly scheduled by - Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
The last conference of The Automobile trade fair witnessed about 70 global launches in which 44 are from India itself. There were more than hundreds of automobiles including two wheelers and three wheelers, including bike, car, trucks, Auto, Bus, commercial vehicles and many more.
Lacks of visitors thronged the Auto Mobile fair on an average every day when the fair was opened to public. This time also, it will be a great success as renowned exhibitors from different part of the world are coming with their latest development and innovations.
This time also The Auto EXPO 2016 will be a comprehensive trade fair with manufacturers participating from different parts of the world to introduce latest discoveries in two-wheelers, three-wheelers, utility vehicles, passenger cars and much more.
To make the event completely successful, the Expo will be attended by organizers, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), officials from India Exposition Mart Limited, the host of the expo and the Greater Noida Authority chairperson, Rama Raman.

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) is the apex body representing the interest of the Indian Auto Component Industry.
The Auto Component industry in India has a strong positive multiplier effect as a key driver of economic growth. The auto component industry registered a turnover of Rs. 2.34 lakh crore (USD 38.5 billion) in 2014 - 2015, with a growth of 11 percent as also CAGR of 11 percent over the last six years. Indian auto components are exported to more than 160 countries and it is indeed very heartening that component exports have been growing at a CAGR of 29% over the past six years. The component exports surged by 11.4 percent to Rs 68,500 crore (USD 11.2 billion) in 2014-15 from Rs 61,400 crore (USD 10.2 billion) in 2013-14.
ACMA represents over 700 companies, which contributes more than 85% of the total auto component output in the organised sector. In the domestic market, they supply components to vehicle manufacturers as original equipment, to tier-one suppliers, to state transport undertakings, defence establishments, railways and even to the replacement market. A variety of components are being exported to OEM’s and after-markets world-wide.
ACMA has played a critical role in growth and development of the auto component industry in India. Its active involvement in trade promotion, technology up-gradation, quality enhancement and collection and dissemination of information has made it a vital catalyst for this industry’s development. Its other activities include participation in international trade fairs, sending trade delegations overseas and bringing out publications on various subjects related to the automotive industry.
ACMA’s charter is to develop a globally competitive Indian Auto Component Industry and strengthen its role in national economic development as also promote business through international alliances.
ACMA is represented on a number of panels, committees and councils of the Government of India through which it helps in the formulation of policies pertaining to the Indian automotive industry.
For exchange of information and especially for co-operation in trade matters, ACMA has signed Memoranda of Understanding with its counterparts in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UK, USA and Uzbekistan.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of India, partnering industry, Government, and civil society, through advisory and consultative processes.
CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India's development process. Founded in 1895, India's premier business association has around 8000 members, from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 200,000 enterprises from around 240 national and regional sectoral industry bodies.
CII charts change by working closely with Government on policy issues, interfacing with thought leaders, and enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and business opportunities for industry through a range of specialized services and strategic global linkages. It also provides a platform for consensus-building and networking on key issues.
Extending its agenda beyond business, CII assists industry to identify and execute corporate citizenship programmes. The focus is on four key enablers: Facilitating Growth and Competitiveness, Promoting Infrastructure Investments, Developing Human Capital, and Encouraging Social Development.
With 66 offices, including 9 Centres of Excellence, in India, and 8 overseas offices in Australia, Bahrain, China, Egypt, France, Singapore, UK, and USA, as well as institutional partnerships with 312 counterpart organizations in 106 countries, CII serves as a reference point for Indian industry and the international business community.
Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is the apex Industry body representing leading vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers in India.
SIAM is an important channel of communication for the Automobile Industry with the Government, National and International organisations. The Society works closely with all the concerned stake holders and actively participates in formulation of rules, regulations and policies related to the Automobile Industry.
With its regular and continuous interaction with international bodies and organizations it aims to facilitate up gradation of technical capabilities of the Indian Industry to match the best practice worldwide.
SIAM also interacts with worldwide experts to assess the global trends and developments shaping the Automotive Industry. It has been actively pursuing issues like Frontier Technologies viz. Telematics: Promotion of Alternative Fuels including Hydrogen Energy for automotive use through cell vehicles and Harmonisation of Safety and Emission Standards etc.
Dissemination of information is an integral part of SIAM'S activities, which it does through various publications, reports, seminars and conferences.
SIAM provides a window to the Indian Automobile industry and aims to enhance exchanges and communication expand economics, trade and technical cooperation between the Automotive Industry and its international counterparts.

General Info

CURRENCY
Currency regulation in India require, all foreign nationals and non-resident Indians to pay for their hotel and travel expenses in Foreign Currency Cash, travelers cheques or major credit cards, such as Master, Visa which are accepted at most places. It is recommended that visitors purchase some Indian Rupees after check-in at their hotel.

VISA REQUIREMENT
Citizens of all countries require a valid national passport / travel document with a valid visa to visit India. These may be obtained from the Indian Mission / Consular Office in the country of their residence.

VACCINATION
Any foreign national coming from or transiting through countries where Yellow Fever is endemic is required to possess a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate. There are no other vaccination requirements for travelers to India.

CLIMATE
February is the winter month in India. Temperature during this month is generally min 10° C and maximum about 21°C during the day.

ELECTRIC SUPPLY
The standard electric supply in India is 220 volts A.C., 50 cycles, single phase for all domestic lighting. Most hotels also provide 110 volts electric point for use of electric shavers, hair dryers etc. If you are carrying a laptop/portable computer or other 110 volts equipment, it is advisable to check for bringing an adopter with it. You may check with us for any specific query in this regard.

CLOTHING
At the time of the exhibition, the weather in Delhi will be cold. It is advisable to carry woolens.

Where is the nearest Metro station from IEML?
Botanical Garden, Noida is the nearest Metro station which is about 25 minutes away from IEML by car. However, Noida City Center, the terminal station of the metro route is only two stations later (approx. 4 minutes) and can be disembarked comfortably to avoid any rush. Adequate Free shuttle buses will be run from Botanical garden Metro Station to IEML.

Estimated travel time during normal traffic conditions. Actual time taken may vary due to traffic conditions, time of travel, weather and other reasons beyond the control of the organisers. It is to be noted that the location of the venue is on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway (for about 25 km from Mahamaya Flyover), where the speed limit for cars is 100km/hr and for buses it is 60km/hr. A car can travel from Mahamaya Flyover to the venue in 15-20 minutes. Organisers encourage responsible driving on this stretch to avoid accidents.

There are 14 exhibition halls apart from outdoor areas for various activities and Food & Beverages. There are 6 entry gates and 6 exit gates at IEML.
Will there be Taxis and Autos available at the venue?
There will be a Taxi stand and Auto Stand for people to move in and out of the venue.
Will there be any entry tickets for Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016?
Right of admission in Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016 is reserved. Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016 is a ticketed event, entry will be by tickets only. Each ticket admits one person only. No ticket is required for children up to five years of age. Also, no ticket will be required for persons on wheel chair and one person helping the person in wheelchair to move around.

What happens if I lose my ticket after purchase?
If ticket is stolen / lost, replacement will not be issued. No refund will be given once a ticket is purchased. The ticket will only be valid if barcode or hologram has not been tampered with. Entry to the venue will close one hour before or earlier as per the discretion of the Organisers or authority.
Can I use a ticket to enter multiple times?
Each ticket will be for single use (one time) entry to the exhibition venue. Organisers would have the right to deny entry to any visitor, even if the visitor possesses a valid ticket, without assigning any reason or justification.
Are there any restrictions in entry timings?
Entry into the venue by ticket holders will be allowed at the gates not before 10am every day and gate entry will be closed one hour before official close of exhibition every day. Entry into halls will be closed 30 minutes before official closing time of the day.
What security measures are going to be followed in Auto Expo – The Motor Show?
Entry into the venue would be subjected to security checks. Security officials would be frisking all visitors at the entry points.Hand bags and other baggage/gears will have to be cleared of X-Ray examination. Please cooperate. Persons suspected of carrying items that could be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the site may be searched and if found guilty may be handed over to the authorities. The following items are not permitted inside the exhibition venue: weapons, firearms, knives/blades of all kinds, sharp objects, lighters, matchboxes, replica/toy weapons, inflammable materials, laser pointers. Glass/plastic containers, cans, bottles, smoke canister and any type of box will not be allowed in the venue.
Is there any restriction in carrying luggage?
Visitors are advised not to carry large hand bags, brief cases, large ladies hand bags, backpacks, packets, etc. In case necessary, keep these in the cloak room available at entry gates where lockers will be available on hire at cost at first come first serve basis.
Are there any restrictions with regard to food/ drink/smoking?
Consumption and sale of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Arms and ammunition, eatables, bottled water, beverages, alcohol will not be allowed to be brought in from outside the venue. Smoking in public places is strictly prohibited. Smoking is allowed at designated places only.
Can we bring in food from outside?
Any kind of cooked / uncooked, packed / unpacked food & beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will not be allowed to be brought in the venue. Food and beverages will be available inside the venue against payment. Organizers are not responsible for any negative effects of food items or drinks consumed in the venue.
Will there be any arrangement for emergency medical help?
In case it is necessary, basic first aid/medical facilities will be provided, however, the organizers do not take any responsibility for any complication arising from the treatment administered at the venue or due to side effects caused because of previous medical history.
Can I bring my car/two wheeler to the venue?
Unauthorised bicycle, scooter, skate board, roller skate etc. is not allowed inside the venue. Parking is only allowed at the designated parking area. Organisers will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft of any vehicles within the designated parking area of the event. Area immediately around India Expo Mart will be No Parking Zone.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in the venue. All unidentified objects must be reported to the security personnel or the police immediately.
